Color is in the Air

Spring has sprung and Wedding season has begun. This is the beginning to the busy season for weddings. With each season, there are different trends for hair and makeup. In the winter, it is typical to wear a smoky eye or a bold lip. Hair styles also tend to be worn up and out of the face. The warmer weather brings a naturally sun kissed look highlighted with bright color, while the hair is much softer and loose. Many brides play up their wedding color schemes during the warmer seasons. Bright flowers and pastel dresses are in abundance during this time. These colors can be incorporated to you and your bridal party’s makeup. It is not necessary to match the color exactly but staying in the same hue will accomplish this look as well. For instance, if your bridesmaid’s dresses are peach, you can use peach and brown tones in the eye makeup and use a coral tone on the lips. Matching the lipstick to your flowers is also very popular. If your flowers are hot pink, find a shade of pink that will look great on everyone. One of the best parts about color is that it will show up beautifully in photos. Stay away from the dramatic colors such as blue and red. More subdued tones will work great such as a soft purple or cranberry. If you are having your wedding outside it is important to be aware of the weather temperature and how this will affect your beauty look. Humidity can cause hair to become frizzy and make you sweat. I suggest choosing an Artist that specializes in sweat proof Airbrush makeup so that you won’t need to worry about your makeup melting off.
