One of the biggest trends in bridal makeup is the vintage inspired red lip. We are not only seeing this on celebrities walking the red carpet and all over magazines but it is the most requested look for brides. Though brides beware, this look is not for everybody. Red lips are a very bold statement and can look and feel uncomfortable if you are not used to such a strong lip color. There are 4 different shades of red; orange-red, blue-red, peach-red, and burgundy/berry. If you choose to wear red lipstick go with a shade that better compliments your skin tone. For darker skin tones I suggest one of two options, either a deep blue-red or burgundy/berry. Lighter skin tones, I suggest more of an orange red, peach-red or cherry red. The best advice I can give is if you never wear red lipstick or much color to begin with don’t wear a red lip on your wedding day. Try other shades that are more similar to the color you typically wear, or choose a red lip stain that will not leave you with too much color. Always test out your lip products before the big day so you insure you will be happy with your decision.
